      Subject: National Specialty Hotel Update - September 25

      In addition to securing the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center as our new show site, we have secured the Executive Inn, 978 Phillips Lane, Louisville KY 40209 as the new host hotel for the 2008 National. 

      The Executive Inn is located immediately outside Gate 1 of the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center where all judging will be held.  The Louisville International Airport is ˝ mile away.

      Due to privacy laws, we cannot transfer reservations from the Studio Lodge to the Executive Inn.  Rest assured no deposits have been taken against anyone’s credit card that had reservations at the Studio Lodge.

      There are 100 rooms available to us at the Executive Inn on Saturday 10/11 and 400 rooms available to us the remainder of the week.  If at all possible, please adjust your travel plans to arrive on Sunday 10/12 or later and stay at the new 2008 GDCA Specialty host hotel.  This will help accommodate more of our Great Dane friends at one hotel.

      $89.00 – Standard Room                                   $140.00 Courtyard Rooms (No dogs)

      All 2008 Specialty Show banquets will be held at the Executive Inn.  Please note, the Awards Dinner will be moved to Friday 10/17.  The Top 20 Winner will be announced after Best of Breed judging at the Fairgrounds.

      Meetings and seminars will be held at both the Executive Inn and the Fairgrounds.  A detailed schedule will be in your Welcome Bag.

      Discounted parking passes are available for $25.00.  This pass is valid from 10/9 to 10/18 and has unlimited ‘in and out’ privileges.  Regular price is $6.00 per day with NO in and out privileges.
